Magnetic braids, Hamiltonian action and selective decay
Seminar Room 1, Newton Institute
AbstractWe explain the relation between magnetic braids and their representation by the action of the corresponding Hamiltonian system. We show how this function captures certain topological properties of the braid and then go on to explore the role it has in the relaxation of magnetic braids under resistive dynamics at high magnetic Reynolds numbers.
If it doesn't, something may have gone wrong with our embedded player.
We'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
