Some new results of existence for the theory of sprays
Seminar Room 1, Newton Institute
AbstractWe present results of existence for sprays equations. Those are systems in which a Vlasov (or Vlasov-Fokker-Planck, or Vlasov-Boltzmann) equation is coupled with an equation of fluid mechanics (compressible or incompressible Euler; compressible or incompressible Navier-stokes; or even Boltzmann). They model complex flows in which a dispersed (liquid or solid) phase interacts with a gas. We detail the latest results, obtained with Laurent Boudin, CÚline Granmont and Ayman Moussa, and corresponding to incompressible viscous thin sprays.
If it doesn't, something may have gone wrong with our embedded player.
We'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
