Title: Large deviations for random walks in a mixing random environment, and other (non-Markov) random walks

Abstract: We extend a recent work by S.R.S. Varadhan on large deviations for random walks in a product random environment, to include many non-Markovian random walks. In particular, several classes of reinforced random walks, and of random walks in Gibbs fields are included. We use the method of the point of view of the particle. We bound the Radon-Nykodim derivative of two environments, as viewed from two independent walkers, by how close the future path passes by the past of the two walkers.
