Grothendieck-Teichmuller Groups in the Combinatorial Anabelian Geometry
Seminar Room 1, Newton Institute
AbstractBy a result of Harbater and Schneps, the Grothendieck-Teichmuller groups may be regarded as natural objects in the study of the combinatorial anabelian geometry. In this talk, we discuss some results on the Grothendieck-Teichmuller groups that relate to the phenomenon of the tripod synchronization. In particular, I explain the surjectivity of the tripod homomorphism and a non-surjectivity result on the combinatorial cuspidalization.
If it doesn't, something may have gone wrong with our embedded player.
We'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
