Numerical approximation of phase-field models for multiphase flow
Seminar Room 1, Newton Institute
AbstractFlow of mixtures of incompressible fluids with complex fluid interactions (surface tensions, contact angles) can be described by a system of (multicomponent) Cahn-Hilliard-Navier-Stokes equations. We propose finite element based numerical approximations of some non-smooth phase-field models for mixtures of incompressible fluids with variable densities and viscosities. We discuss theoretical and practical issues related to the proposed numerical approximations and present computational experiments to demonstrate main features of the considered models.

We'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
