Integrable refactorization systems and Yang-Baxter maps

We present matrix refactorization problems related to Lax representations of Yang-Baxter maps. First degree polynomial Lax matrices can be considered as basic building blogs of higher dimensional Yang-Baxter maps. Initial value problems on lattices give rise to families of Poisson maps which preserve the spectrum of their monodromy matrix.
