Bianchi identities for non-geometric fluxes from Palatini-Lovelock-Cartan gravity
Seminar Room 1, Newton Institute
AbstractFlux compactifications are an important building block for obtaining (semi-)realistic string theory vacua. Conventional H- and geometric flux are rather well-understood in this setting, however, non-geometric fluxes are understood to a far lesser degree. In this talk, it is first reviewed how certain fluxes can be treated as the torsion of a connection, and how gravity theories can be formulated via the Palatini formalism. Next, this formalism is extended to higher orders in the curvature leading to constraints on the fluxes, which are then interpreted as Bianchi identities.
If it doesn't, something may have gone wrong with our embedded player.
We'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
