A Stringy Mechanism for A Small Cosmological Constant
Seminar Room 2, Newton Institute Gatehouse
AbstractWe propose a simple stringy mechanism that prefers metastable vacua with a small cosmological constant. We argue the generic probability distribution for the metastable vacua which peaks with a divergent behavior at the zero value of cosmological constant. Then we illustrate this in a model of type IIB string theory, though the suppression in the model is modest.
If it doesn't, something may have gone wrong with our embedded player.
We'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
