Derangements in Finite and Algebraic Groups
Seminar Room 1, Newton Institute
AbstractA derangement is a fixed point free permutation. We will consider transitive actions of finite and algebraic groups and the prevalence of derangements. We will discuss the Boston-Shalev conjecture and related problems about conjugacy classes as well as various applications.
If it doesn't, something may have gone wrong with our embedded player.
We'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
