Dr Christie Marr


Dr Christie Marr took up the post of Deputy Director of the Isaac Newton Institute from January 2012. She studied Mathematics at Oxford before taking a PGCE at Kings College London after which she returned to Oxford and studied for a DPhil in Computer Science. Christie was the founding Director of the Mathematics Support Centre in St Andrews and won the 2010 SIGMA prize for outstanding contributions to mathematics support. Her research interests include formal methods in computing science and in particular mathematical modelling of concurrent communicating systems, model checking, and the linking and expressivity of specification languages.
