If you are receiving travel expenses, on arrival you will be issued with a claim form to be completed and returned with copies of any receipts or tickets. We will do our best to reimburse participants before their departure, but it cannot be guaranteed. Reimbursement is usually made in the form of a GBP cheque. Please indicate if you would prefer the payment to be made by bank transfer in your home currency when you hand in your claim form. There is space on the form for your bank details.

The Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences was opened in July 1992. The Isaac Newton Institute is now firmly established as the UK's national research institute for mathematics.
Computer Facilities: In the Institute Library there are a number of Windows PCs for use by conference participants. Their use is restricted to information searching and retrieval using email, online journals and databases. The SSH client putty allows access to remote unix hosts. It is also possible to search the library catalogues via the University Library WWW page. On arrival each participant will be issued with a guest account valid for the period of the conference to enable access to these machines. Please note: The library computers are not workstations for the preparation of papers or the completion of work.
Wireless Network: If you wish to use the Institute's wireless network, please obtain a lapwing wireless network ticket from the Conference Desk. This facility will enable you to browse the internet via your own laptop whilst you are visiting the Institute
Offices: The Institute has very limited office spaces which are allocated to longer term visitors. It is not generally possible to allocate an office to a participant who has been invited to attend during a conference.
Public Telephone:The nearest credit card phone is located in Wolfson Court as the Institute does not have a public telephone.
Poster Boards (if applicable): The Institute has boards which can be used to display posters. The size of the boards are: 3ft 10" High by 2ft 11" Wide (1170mm x 890mm). Please check your invitation letter to determine if your request to present a poster has been accepted.
Please note: Not all conferences hold poster sessions.
Opening Times: During workshops the institute is generally open between 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:30 - 17:00 Friday. The Institute Library is staffed between 09:00 - 16:45 Monday, Wednesday and Friday and between 09:00 - 15:45 Tuesday and Thursday.
Wolfson Court is the city annex of Girton College. Which was established in 1869 and was the first residential College for women in Britain. Men were admitted for the first time in 1979.
Bedrooms: Bedrooms at Wolfson Court are for single occupancy only and are simply furnished with a single bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, tea and coffee making facilities.
A hand and bath towel are also provided, which are changed twice weekly. Rooms are serviced daily between 9am and 12:30pm. Bed-linen is changed weekly.
Background heating is switched off during the summer months; should additional heat be required a portable heater can be obtained from the Porter.
Internet Access: Internet access is provided in each bedroom via an Ethernet connection. Patch cables can be purchased from the lodge at £2.30 for 5 metres. Guests must provide their own PC.
Public Telephone: There are two credit card phones in the building.
Porters' Lodge: The Porters' Lodge is the main information point and is staffed 24 hours a day. The Lodge sells stamps and washing tokens for the washing machines located on site.
Vacating your room: You must vacate your room promptly by 10am on the day of departure. Luggage may be stored with the Porter for collection later. Please make sure you return your key when you leave. There is a £15 charge for the replacement of lost keys. Additional nights should be booked via the Programme and Visitor Officer at the Newton Institute
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in Wolfson Court.
Bar with Sky TV: Please refer to the notice board located in the main lounge at Wolfson Court for opening times.

Breakfast is served from 08:00 - 09:00 each day
Lunch is served from 12:30 - 13:30 on days that lectures take place
Dinner is served from 18:00 - 18:45 each day
Meals can be purchased via the cafeteria by non residents.
Lunch: Participants who are on the Conference Package are given a complementary lunch. However, those not on the package are welcome to purchase lunch via the cafeteria.
Formal Dinner: A conference dinner or garden party is arranged in one of the University Colleges. Dress is casual. Participants on the Conference Package are automatically included in this event. All remaining participants are encouraged to attend. Dinner will not be served at Wolfson Court on this day.
